Garden Maintenance in Applecross

This week, Property Care Guys did Garden Maintenance in Applecross, South of Perth

Our gardener is experienced in Horticulture. He regularly (once per month) does this property along with many others in areas NOR and SOR. Usually are a general garden cleanup including weeding, lawn mowing and edging, whipper snipping, cleaning of paved areas and giving the reticulation system a quick test run every few visits. We hose down the paving on this job occasionally as dogs leave their droppings about the place. We even wash your dog (just kidding, leave that up to the pet care guys)

Garden Maintenance in North Perth

Today the Property Care Guys did Garden Maintenance in North Perth.

One of our long term customers. Quite a large residential Property which are constantly being sub-divided. Might be a good idea to keep yours if you have a large double property. The rarer they become, the more they will be worth. Anyway this job always takes a good half day sometimes an entire day.

We mow 5 lawns and treat them occasionally with weed killer and fertilizer, upkeep the garden mulch which saves water and assures microorganism health in the soil thus keeping plants happy, tend to rose bushes, a really great lemon tree, rose hedge, vines, many garden beds, keep an unused area long grass whipper snipped, clean around a pool area, test and repair the automatic reticulated sprinkler system running off a pretty powerful bore which has had no issues but worn out popups, and keep the weeds down throughout the residence.

Oh and really importantly, keeping the trees from growing over the neighbors fence as he is he is very grumpy! We provide Garden Maintenance in areas of North Perth and its neighboring.

Garden Maintenance in Morley

Today the Property Care Guys did Garden Maintenance in Morley, North of Perth.

That is real grass, not the fake stuff. We prefer reality. Anyway today we serviced Jess’s gardens, a monthly round. We removed some Bird of Paradise plants before they became trees as they were right against the house! Stupid place to put those. The rest was a general garden cleanup consisting of mowing the verge, trimming up shrubs and hedges in raised beds, raking up leaves and blowing down the property of debris. It is all very easy when we have monthly gardening contracts. Please give us a run!

Garden Maintenance in Como

Today the Property Care Guys did Garden Maintenance in Como, South of Perth

A Real Estate client who regularly sends us vacate or move in cleanup work. Phil tested the reticulation system and cleaned around the popup sprinklers. He then pruned the palms removing the dead fronds and seed pods, weeded out all the garden beds, trimmed up the bushes and used the leaf blower on all paved areas and raked up leaves and removed the green waste from the property!

Garden Maintenance in St James

Property Care Guys completed Garden Maintenance in St James, South of Perth.

Another general garden cleanup for a real estate company we regularly deal with. We like these as they send us a work order, we do the job within a week, take a few photos and send the bill. We whipper snipped, removed weeds from paving, mowed the verge, front and back lawns, weeded garden beds out, leaf blew and raked up all green waste. We usually do a reticulation system test and advise if maintenance needs doing. If you have any junk we can take that away while at it. This place had some. We removed a bicycle, some random timber, car tyres and green waste, all for some form of recycling.

Reticulation Repairs in Leda

Property Care Guys did Reticulation Repairs in Leda, South of Perth.

Julie found us on Google reviews and called the office requesting rReticulation maintenance and possible repair to a solenoid valve. She advised of their approximate location. Our Technician went out to discover it was one of “those jobs”.. where the solenoid valve was under the side of an established tree. Here we go again..another summer of  crazy. Who would not predict a tree to grow to the valve station when it is planted centimeters from it. Of course it is always likely they did not know there was any reticulation parts when they put it in though.. but not always the case. Anyway there was plenty of tree root cutting practice in this one and even overhead branch removal to access the job. Barry then did a standard root bypass surgery, installed a new flow control valve by Rainbird and let it rest a while before testing.

No more leaks and her valve station is ready to flow for another 25 years or more!

Reticulation Repairs in Manning

Today, Property Care Guys did Reticulation Repairs in Manning, South of Perth.

Colin wanted a quote on rather than doing it by hand, but to automate the watering of lots of pots in a paved area and another to repair the weed filled lawn and level it properly as the company who installed the roll on grass did an average job. We can do this with top dressing with a lawn sand or similar soil. With the reticulation extension, there was plenty of pressure on the nearby station to tap into for his pots so this is very feasible.

He also needed a system check so I did this on the spot with him and went over various small sprinkler issues with him which wasn’t a lot (1 Hour) and he left for work. I replaced some Toro popups and spray heads, cleaned some others out, straightened a couple on weird angles. One verge pop-up sprinkler in the corner of the driveway was very low from grass thatching up and cars driving on it so I installed a concrete sprinkler surround there and compacted it in so it can bare the weight of cars if need be. Last I checked the reticulation controller box.. luckily as it was still set for 45 minutes per station from when the company installed the lawn 3 years ago! Imagine how much water and bore pump electricity was wasted in that time. Geez. I closed the gate upon leaving, free of charge. Working in Manning was a great experience.

We highly recommend our concrete surround installation service at least on the row of popups on your outer verge / nature strip sprinklers. Believe it or not, it will save you thousands of dollars over 5-10 years if you find yourself having to call repair guys to fix your broken roadside sprinklers! We put them in correctly and guarantee cars won’t be breaking anymore, providing there is the normal depth of pipe and space between the kerb and the sprinkler. If not we can do that too.

Landscaping in East Perth City

This week, Property Care Guys did Landscaping in East Perth City.

We were asked to quote to upgrade the appearance of the large planter box surrounding the perimeter of their offices. It was just dirt and random plants. Also they requested we somehow try limit cigarette butts being thrown in the dirt garden and being hard to remove. It really needed a more modern makeover.

We took out the old soil and plants, installed road base, installed the pots of their choice from our selection, a square one to match the shape of the building and windows. We secured these with a metal rod through the bottom and also glue. We then installed black riverstone all over the gardens and inside the pots and glued these in too. Nothing can be removed without tools. We also repaired their old reticulation and modified it making it invisible and going up into the pots from underneath each one. We planted Cyclads in each pot. If litter is thrown in it can now be simply blown out with a leaf blower and the place looks great! Overall work experience in East Perth City was great!

Paving in Hamilton Hill

Today, Property Care Guys completed Paving in Hamilton Hill, South of Perth

Juan requested a quote to lay recycled brick paving which he already had collected from…well..everywhere it seems. We visited and viewed the job, (glad we did as the levels were different from their pic) quoted up the labour and the sand and got the go ahead instantly. Once we started with laying the pavers we discovered there were SIX different types of brick pavers all mixed up including a heap from the 1949 Byford/Cardup Press! It was quite literally a massive puzzle. But we, Juan and his family and friends all loved the end result. It looks really cool. We like to do old looking stuff it makes work more interesting and we are proud of such a job!

Lawn Mowing in Ashfield

Today, Property Care Guys did lawn mowing in Ashfield, North East of Perth.

It’s probably a good idea to not let your lawn get this out of hand. Not just because it looks unsightly but it encourages mice and rats and WEEDS. Anyway, we were asked to mow the front and rear lawns of this rental property for inspection, which required a good whipper snipping first, then a couple of runs with the mower and finally edging and removal of the green waste for recycling. Now for a weed treatment, fertilizer and some reticulation maintenance. See the before and after!
