Today the Property Care Guys did reticulation in Ferndale, South East of Perth
The customer Renae filled our online booking form reporting some valve zones on an old irrigation system were not functioning nor were any valve locations known. I (Matt) went out to try fix the problems.
First I checked the controller which was fine. Two and Three worked. One, Four and Five were failing and buried.. somewhere. I traced the wiring and found THREE valves spread about the verge. One had a dead solenoid so that was replaced. Another had bad wire connections so that was fixed with proper connectors (instead of old half corroded twisted wire) and the remaining one had a broken wire right on the coil which an attempted soldering job was made with no success.
I left the job with all stations working automatically except for one which can be turned on manually until we know if a spare solenoid is available for that valve. One valve station remains unknown but it is working fine. Maybe next visit that can be found.
Overall another successful weekend valve finding job and lawns now being watered!
