Reticulation in Piara Waters

Yesterday the Property Care Guys did Reticulation in Piara Waters, South East of Perth

This customer had installed artificial turf in the front yard and had much of the sprinkler system plugged off. He had some small landscaping work done with a few native plants which had drip irrigation installed and a dribbler to each of two Jacarandas. There was too much pressure and poly pipes were splitting.

We located the front solenoid which was buried under mulch. We discovered a pressure reduction valve previously installed. We then tested the system and sure enough, there was still more pressure than what was needed for such a small area. The valve was non adjustable and 350 kpa or 3.5 bar which is around 50 psi. The mains water pressure in Perth is usually less than 500 kpa or 70 psi.

We repaired the split poly piping and installed an Australian Made Adjustable Water Pressure Valve and wound it back to about half the previous pressure. See the other picture below demonstrating the difference in pressure!
