Reticulation and Lawn in Yanchep

Good morning everyone!

Yesterday The Property Care Guys completed Reticulation and Lawn in Yanchep

What a great week it has been. Two of our team members got to go up to the beautiful township of Yanchep (50km North of Perth) to install some Soft Leaf Buffalo roll-on turf and an automated reticulation system to a lovely property. With a couple of delays along the way with our customer only being available on rare occasions, our two boys got up and completed in one day. Well done! We snapped some progress photos to share of the work completed and what a improvement it is!!! The grass rolls were freshly cut in the morning. PVC pressure pipe and pop-up sprinklers were used.

So Remember, we cover up to Yanchep and down to Mandurah for installations, retic repairs and landscaping!

Bore System Repair in Rockingham

Had the team attend to the beautiful Point Peron Youth and Family Aquatic Centre in Rockingham
(YES! we’re servicing from Yanchep to Rockingham!)

The system which is being relied upon for house water and Reticulation to over 50 small holiday beach cabins was sourcing water from an underground bore system with a Mains water source as backup and flushing. The issue that PCG was called in to resolve was there was no mains water filling into the tank when the bore pumps are off, Resulting in no water for the entire property!

Our PCG team member Matt was able to locate a solenoid Valve that had seen better days, which was promptly removed and replaced with a stronger more reliable solenoid with a nice Warranty just for good measure. The valve was tested as working properly. BUT! It did not solve the main issue. Our Electrician Paul was called out who also found a faulty relay and mini contact which were replaced with new components. We then took a bore water sample and had it lab-tested for potability, hardness, metals, e-coli and other contaminants in which the results came back as OK to drink! Bore water testing is recommended once per year.

We now we have a happy clients who will continue to have water for their homes, amazingly lush gardens and lawn no mater what the weather! Contact us for all reticulation and Bore repairs in the Rockingham area!

Garden Maintenance in Ellenbrook

Well the team got to go to the beautiful town of Ellenbrook right in the heart of the Swan Valley Wine country, With a emergency call out from a lovely young couple who were having a surprise pop in visit form the Parents and wanted their garden spruced up to look the art for mum and dad.

Our Amazing gardener Chloe attended and got to go through a few ideas with the owners regarding weeding, tidy up and mulch types best suited for the property, Once all approved, Chloe was able to have the job started and completed the next day, Just in time for the parents to arrive.

To say we have a happy & relived couple was definitely an understatement and even received good feed back from the Parents.
So remember the Property Care Guys is happy to assist with urgent call outs on reticulation, bores and Gardening! We also do regular maintenance in these areas.

Commercial Reticulation Repair Perth

This week the Property Care Guys did Commercial Reticulation Repair in Balcatta, North of Perth

Fuji Film Balcatta. Not the first time we have repaired their system. We wonder who installed it as it was not done properly in the first place. Poly pipe not PVC everywhere under pavement. When we install a system we will never lay poly under paving as it will fail eventually no matter what. When a PVC pipe could last literally 100 years if buried 300mm deep. These old systems really need redoing properly. Though for now we replaced the poly with a more hardy Australian made pipe which will easily outlast the rest of the system…

New Bore Pump in Dalkeith

Today the Property Care Guys installed a New Bore Pump in Dalkeith

How do I fix it when the popup sprinkers are not working around my property? My lawn is all patchy!  First thing’s first. Would all the sprinklers fail at once? Unlikely. So the issue is upstream towards the water source. There could be issues with solenoid valves, manual valves, a submersible or centrifugal pump, controller box, wiring, mains water supply, AC power or tree roots. This one happened to be the bore pump itself. Our Technician had our Electrician run some tests before deciding to replace it. Along with the pump start mini contactor, followed by a full system test of all stations the bore had to be pulled up, checked and a new pump installed.

Reticulation Repairs in Baldivis

Last week the Property Care Guys did Reticulation Repairs in Baldivis, South of Perth

A job to simply reprogram the central control box. Matt went out and tested each station. Immediately apparent was it needing new sprinklers here and there so we removed, flushed and added an mp rotator or two and some standard toro and rainbird heads, straightened up some micro risers and new heads which had been somehow ran over and crushed in a garden all along the fence (with plenty of room to drive on the paving!?) then set the control box.

This was faulty. A Hunter X-core which we used to like but have found too many issues with lately so we now use the NEW Rainbird ESP-Me usually. The issue was the down button not working which wouldn’t allow to program automatic program properly. I quoted a new controller but they were quite happy to run the system with the simple press of a button every few days or so

Bore Repair in The Vines

Last week the Property Care Guys did a Bore Repair in The Vines, North east of Perth

It’s nice to work out around the Swan Valley this time of year – the weather is perfect for strenuous activity as it’s cool enough to move about doing landscaping without dying and it hasn’t been raining as usual this time of the year!

The customer reported their bore not working when they came home from being away.  Our PCG electrician checked it out diagnosing a fused pump. Luke went out and pulled up 17 metre deep submersible Chinese made unit which had lasted about 3 years. We replaced this with a higher quality Grundfos pump made in Denmark. This week we are heading back to go through the reticulation to service all sprinklers throughout the several acre property and quote up some tree lopping.

Reticulation Install in South Guildford

In April the Property Care Guys did a reticulation install in South Guildford, East of Perth

Can you spot the grass relay? Well you would if it was done in the past few days, but this is after a few weeks. Our technician installers Scotty and Luke did a fantastic PVC pipe pressure system to the front and rear lawns with long lasting toro popups. The gardens being underground poly pipe with sturdy riser sprayers. There was a tricky section going along the fence behind the shed being an established property. We always have a solution! Reticulation in Singleton

Matt from the Property Care Guys did reticulation in Singleton, South of Perth

Work order to “perform a leak test and provide a leak detection certificate report” Currently we have one certified technician and 2 others will shortly complete the course to be waterwise according to the water corporations’ guidelines or rules.

I went to this job for measurement of leak detection was immediately irrelevant with the tenant half accurately pointing out half the problems. One of his main issues was that a previous landscaper had installed a roll on turf to the back yard  and the reticulation repair guy before us said it was the worst he had ever seen.

It wasn’t the worst i have ever seen. It had ok coverage which is the main point so whoever installed it did half OK.. but they obviously didn’t offer a regular reticulation service like we do.

I went about the usual controller test, station test and sprinkler test. Diagnosed stuck on solenoid valves – one for the rear lawn and one for the left verge and left rear lower lawn. Waste of water. Programming was also still set to new lawn installation watering times costing the property manager hundreds more every 2 months just in water bills.
